In 1985, our family moved the restaurant to Markham, marking a new chapter in the growth of Danny’s Fish and Chips. It was there that long-standing relationships began to take root, as familiar faces returned week after week and new customers became part of the extended Danny’s family. During this time, the recipe and values that defined the business were carefully passed down through generations, preserving the same standards of quality and care that shaped its early years. The continued success of Danny’s was built not only on food, but on the dedication of loyal staff and the unwavering support of customers, without whom the restaurant could not exist in its present form.

After a short break, Danny’s made a decisive leap north, guided by the same commitment to quality that had defined the business from the beginning. In early 2006, we reintroduced our fish and chips in Stroud, bringing a familiar recipe to a new community and quickly re-establishing the values and standards our customers had come to expect. Five rewarding years in the Innisfil area followed, marked by strong local support and lasting relationships that reaffirmed the strength of a family-run business built on consistency and care. With growing demand and a desire to share our recipe more broadly, expanding into the larger Simcoe region became a natural next step. Relocating to the city of Barrie proved to be the right decision, where Danny’s Fish and Chips was warmly welcomed and embraced by the community. It is with genuine gratitude that our team continues to share a multi-generational family legacy with such a loyal and supportive group of customers, a relationship that has now endured for 50 years.
